Thank you, Heavenly Father, for general conference. A time when members of our faith come together to hear guidance from a living prophet. This weekend we had the pleasure of listening to conference. As Rick and I sat together and watched each of the speakers, we discussed the topics that were being presented. Isn't is a wonderful thing to know that the heavens are opened and that we can receive insightful information on how to better ourselves, not just as individuals but as sealed units, in this lifetime.
The talks about marriage and the temple were very appropriate, not just for me - but I am sure for many others, though I took them to be directed at me. I would hope that most individuals that watch conference would take things to heart - whether the talk seems to apply to them directly or not. (But that's just a personal wish).
Anyway, though this to me is not a little thing - it only really happens twice a year. Because of that, I feel that it can go into my little things blob. It's my Big Little thing. I am so grateful that I know that there is a living prophet on this earth today, and that he speaks directly to us with authority given to him by our Father in Heaven. Conference weekend is always a special time for me - and this weekend was no different. It's so EASY to have a spiritual moment - a God Moment - when there is Conference weekend. (I think that it's because he's GOT to be RIGHT THERE with the prophet... he's just GOT to be(Or at least that's MY impression.)).
Anyway - if you want to feel what I felt, then (when conference gets released) go and listen to Henry B. (he's SO my favorite next to Dieter).
