So, my friends and family have decided that they would start blogs to show God's hand in their lives. I thought that this was a good idea so, I too decided to begin one.
This is Day 1 for me. Today I went to my friend Christy's house to pick apricots. We were to make Jam and I have recently been blessed to learn the art of canning, so I gave it a go. Today, I discovered God's hand in my life on a very simple thing that I ask for continuously, and many times think that I haven't received it.
My heavenly father has blessed me with two very close friends. Two people, women, ladies, that I can laugh with, cry with, confide in, and love. Many times have I prayed to just have one or two people that I can be close to. Many times I feel alienated and left out for reasons that I am unsure of. Part of my depression is because I don't have those close bonds and I long for them.
As I looked up from the tarp I was holding, to catch falling apricots, I saw my sister smiling, and my Christy - standing in a tree, shaking the limbs with her "special tool". I had to laugh at how wonderful it was to be blessed in this manner. Friends and family are true blessings, and many times I take them for granted. I love being blessed with sisters who stand by me and help me through, and friends like Christy, who are unique and special, and help me to smile and not feel so alone.
Thank you Today, Heavenly Father, for blessing me with true friends and sisters.
