Another FOOD SHOWDOWN!!

Papa John's Apple Twist SweetreatPapa John's Very Berry Sweetreat

Which dessert pizza won't ruin your calorie budget?
What better way to end your pizza dinner than by eating...another pizza! Dessert pizzas are popping up everywhere, from your favorite chain to the mom & pop pizza store down the block. They are pretty small--about the size of a personal pizza (6 inches)--but does that mean that they are reasonable in calories? Each of these Papa John's examples offers a fruity topping, but one is significantly higher in calories.

 The Low-Cal Winner
Apple Twist Sweetreat

These two are very similar in size and toppings, but the entire apple dessert pizza contains 700 calories and 18 grams of fat. Although Papa John's considers one serving to be half of this treat, you'd be better off splitting it with 4 (or more) to keep your caloric intake down to a reasonable level. Berries are some of the healthiest fruits around, but the Berry Sweetreat doesn't reap the same benefits. This pie weighs in at a huge 800 calories and 18 grams of fat--probably more than you're willing to spend on such a small dessert.
